Domestic Violence Conference - Conference Materials Available

Domestic Violence has long been perceived as a purely heterosexual issue both within the criminal justice system and by society at large.

LAGIP held a conference which had the theme of Same Sex Domestic Violence. This conference was held early in February in central Bristol.

The conference, organised by LAGIP (Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals and Transgendered Individuals in Probation and Family Courts), aimed to break down the shame and stigma associated with this issue; finding ways of supporting colleagues in coming forward and seeking support.

We have set up a Same Sex Domestic Violence webpage on this website which has links to a number of resources and some of the material from the conference.
