LAGIP needs you to take part in a survey to help us better understand your circumstances and get important feedback on what you think we could improve and what you think we should focus on. We will use this information to better represent you and reflect your priorities.
To simplify and ease data collection we’ve teamed up with SurveyMonkey to produce an online questionnaire that takes about 10 minutes to complete. If at any point you want to stop you can save your progress and return later.
Your privacy is important to us and the information you provide will not be made personally identifiable or shared with your employer. Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LAGIP to take part.
Deadline for responses is 15th June 2012.
The National Offender Management Service (NOMS) has begun a consultation excercise on all the staff associations (NDSN, ABPO, NAAPS and LAGIP) with the deadline of 31st May 2012.
A simple questionnaire has been produced via SurveyMonkey that should take no more than a couple of minutes to complete and is open to all staff to respond to.
Despite its simplicity, the results of this survey could have very profound implications for the future of the staff associations and the support and services we provide. It's a sad truth that when government organisations are looking to save money services like the staff associations are vulnerable targets.
If you believe as we do that staff associations have made and can continue to make a positive contribution to peoples jobs and welfare, even if you're not currently a member of one, please visit the survey and let NOMS know by clicking the link below.

Please note: We are aware of a few problems with the formatting of their survey and have reported these back to them. If you can't complete the survey, please get in touch with us by emailing richard.beavis@nspt.probation.gsi.gov.uk.
March 2012 saw the return of LAGIP's annual conference at the Double Tree Hotel in Manchester.
We'd like to say a big thank you to those of you who attended and we look forward to seeing you again next year - along with some more of you, we hope!
Unfortunately LAGIP says goodbye to Diarmuid Mulligan, who has stepped down as Wales coordinator.
Helen Dale has also stepped down as North West coordinator--and into a new role of transgender consultant.
Finally, we welcome Janet Holton to the NEC. Janet has taken over from Helen, so a big hello goes to Janet!
Presentations from the conference can be downloaded from the resources page or by clicking this link
Please email richard.beavis@nspt.probation.gsi.gov.uk to contact LAGIP as the admin@lagip.org.uk address appears to be broken.
If you have submitted an application recently and not heard back, this could well be why. We apologise for this inconvenience and would be grateful if you could resend it to us.
LAGIP is a membership organisation and we have a variety of membership types for staff and ex-staff in Probation, Family Courts, the Prison Service and the Ministry of Justice. Download our application form here.
